Anything's possible but even the video reviews say 18 months. There is no reason to announce that far in advance unless anticipation is hurting current sales. It's been several days and I haven't seen any correction.

Wishful thinking on my part but...most of the car reviews get their info from the MB press releases, so if MBISA made an error then it would be disseminated to all.

I agree but Car and Driver along with some others seemed to have one for pictures but those could have been provided by MB. The crazy thing is that when you pull up the Configurator the 450 is right above with a 0-60 of 5.5 vs 5.6 for the AMG 43. Not a good selling point.

Mercedes-Benz's venerable GLE-Class finally joins the straight-six club. Its 3.0-liter turbo I6 will put out an ample 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque, with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system capable of further boosting those numbers for brief periods of time. It also has some fat fender flares, because who doesn't like fat fender flares?

So you know - the factory scuttlebutt is that there will be a very limited# of "GLE560's" that will be made for US market this year only - like "maybe" 200-300... will be a "orphan model" made this year only...

Still no updates on the 53 US ETA?? Has anyone recently asked MBUSA to confirm if there was indeed an error in their press release? If not I will do so.

I’m still suspicious about the date. It’s apparently correct as announced but.... Did they make the date so far out to help move the current Gen! If people thought it was coming out later this year would they wait for the next Gen? I can’t think of any reason to announce almost 2 years ahead so am creating a conspiracy theory, ha ha. I’m probably wrong but it’s one possibility.
Another is that they could be having trouble getting the Mapping right for the combo of Twin Turbo and electric Turbo. Or maybe they just wanted to silence the rumors! If I were betting money, I would bet that they will show 6-12 months sooner.
