GLE 53 Can this be true?
I am about to order a 2021 GLE 53 with the Driver Assistant Package but have been told I also have to order the Warmth and Comfort Package AND the Energizing Comfort Package both of which I don't need.

Not exactly.... for either SUV or Coupe .. it's the NetStar Configuration Screen that gives you the "path" of what must be done...
For Driver's Assistance- my recommendation (short form) which gives you more of what you "should" want/need ..
1st - Leather Interior Required, Nappa or Exclusive Nappa $2990-$4550-$4800
2nd - Driver's Assistance $1.950
3rd- Multi-Contour Front Seats w/Massage $1,100
4th - Heated & Ventilated Seats $450 (which requires N/C Heated Seat Selection)
5th - Rapid Heated Seats $450
Oh... don't forget Individual Option List ... like Heated Windshield Washers are a Option $200, Head-Up $1100 , Trailer Hitch $575, Wrapped Dash/Door Trim $350 etc.. devil in the details

Thanks fabbrisd1 for the reply. Yes my SA was following NetStar and he questioned the linking of Driver Assistant Package to the two required options I mentioned. He is calling MB on this. Surprising to me that MB would tie comfort packages to DA that is essentially auto safety systems. Thanks for the option suggestions. I already am heavily loaded on those.

As far as I know the Energizing Comfort Package has been discontinued/broken up in the 2021 GLE.

I didn’t need to for my order. I added driver’s assist package without energizing package but have warmth and comfort because I wanted massage seats.

KB... your "salesman" is either a neophyte or a idiot ... all he needs to do is "march thru the Configure Screen" with you so you can make the best value choices for you !
Let me clear up a couple things for other's here ....XK.. you might be confused if your don't have a Build/Spec sheet from your dealer ... $1,050 Warmth & Comfort Package has NOTHING to do with $1,100 Multi-Contour/Massage.. $2,100 Energizing Comfort is the "package" with Multi-Contour/Massage & Heated/Ventilates & Air Ionization filter inn the Climate Control & the "Energizing" feature in MBUX.
The Mood Voodoo MBUX "Energizing" profile is the real-confusing part for my customers - versus individual options $1,100 Multi/Massage + $450 Heated/Ventilated + $350 Ionization/if-you-want-it and NOT have the extensive confusing Energizing Mood Voodoo MBUX interface... Rapid heating for added Driver's Assistance is $450 - my customers prefer the individual options that are operated and controlled independently in MBUX just fine without "Energizing" Mood Voodoo which is music linked (oh I will never ever will use that).. sometimes a few $100 more can get you "simpler is better"

Thanks Fab for the helpful explanation....I wasn’t aware of how DB8 worked. It looked like the DB8 package was the same but $250 less than selecting the individual options.

What does Energizing Comfort Control do?
The goal of Energizing Comfort Control is passenger comfort and wellness. Energizing Comfort Control networks your vehicle’s climate controls, music, seat heating, massage programs, ambient lighting and air fragrances together. Drivers can utilize six programs – Freshness, Warmth, Vitality, Joy, Comfort, and Training.
Each program you select runs about ten minutes. The system will play programmed music or will analyze your existing media’s beats per minute to select the perfect tracks to fit the selected mood. Each program features custom lighting, scent, massage, and temperature. The programs run about ten minutes. There are 64 interior color options and lighting elements within the trim, central display, center console, door handle and pockets, footwells, as well as an available overhead control panel.
Its actually less expensive on my build to leave that feature off and select the individual items.
#DB1 $2100 + #902 Rapid Heating Seats $450 = $2550
#399 Multicontour Seats $1100+ Ventilated Seats $450+ Air Balance $350 +Rapid Heated Seats $450 = $2350
Thats $200 less and if you don’t want Air Balance You save $550.

fabbrisd1, I have bought 3 MB's from this dealership without problems. My current new SA walked though the configure screen with me and was surprised he could not include the DA without the two questioned packages. I'm going to have him escalate this to sales management. Thanks for the comment.
