The Lexus exterior styling is butt ugly. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder I know. But that grill!!!! I would say the only advantage of a Lexus IS probably its dependability over any German choice. But the driver interface, ride, elegance goes to MB by a long shot. Lexus IS a brand caught in a time warp.

Interesting article. As already said, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I hated the Lexus grill when it first came out, but then it started to grow on me. The color of the vehicle makes a big difference. I find the seats in our 2017 RX-450h more comfortable than the multicontoor seats in my GLE. I can also put more items in the rear cargo area in the RX than the GLE, especially nice is that I can put a set of golf clubs straight across in the RX but I need to remove my driver in order to do that in the GLE. I have leather in both and like them equally. Bottom line for me, I like both vehicles.

Rotate your bag with the driver on top and the golf clubs fit crossways in mine at the back. Then put the front bag with the driver in the left net storage area. The sides are tapered so the upper bags have room to spare. Another trick is to put the shoe bag under the front of the rear golf bag. A couple of inches wider would be perfect. I have carried 5 bags without removing the driver.

My bag has several pockets that stick out in the lower front so turning it the top tilts down unless I put something under it like you said. By the time I do that, I might as well take the driver out. So when it is my turn to drive, we just remove drivers and then stagger the bags. I rarely use the Lexus because we have car seats for the grandkids in that vehicle.
