Only way to get rid of it is to wet sand it flat and then compound and polish it back. Just beware the clear on MB cars and SUVs are not as thick as they use to be.
Any feedback at Mercedes regarding the orange peel on the GLE?
Mine arrived in black and displays orange peel on all panels.
Anyone know if at least polishing will get rid of it?

All vehicles have orange peel to some degree, and as @TEAsE550 said, the only way to flatten the paint is to wet sand, which is not ideal since you will eat through the already paper-thin clear coat.
Not sure if yours has more than usual. Photos would be helpful.
It took 3 full days to wet sand and polish out my wife's C280. I couldn't stand looking at it. My E550 isn't too bad but I tried a small area on the lower passenger side door and the clear IMHO is to thin. The water based clears are just junk!!! My wife's car looks like glass!!!!

Yes... on these big SUV panels they haven't figured out how lay it on flat. I will post pics later of my 21 GLE.
