ChatGPT Beta on MBUX

MBUX and ChatGPT
I opted in to the Beta test for ChatGPT. I saw no difference in how MBUX reacted except that I could no longer send text from "Hey Mercedes". She would accept the text command, accept the name of the recipient, but ask you to repeat the message after you repeat the message she would go off in never, never land and give an error. (don't remember what the error was) I went back to Mercedes Me and disabled the Beta test and texting started working again. So my guess is that ChatGPT is not ready for Prime Time!

I have to enter the address manually via the virtual keyboard. It's there, but I guess Chat doesn't know what the car knows.
I disabled Beta but still waiting to use verbal input. I'll try "turn on massage" next. Maybe I haven't killed MBUX.

Interesting @mikapen . I opted for the beta and tonight when heading home I tried asking it to "navigate home", which surprisingly failed. It worked before the beta opt in. I might be opting back out soon. Thanks for posting this. I didn't make the connection until now.

FURTHER UPDATE
So, follow up on my Beta NAV failure.
Ran errands, half hour later started the car. Used voice commands to try the same failed address, No Problem, no hesitation. Seemed to show alternate routes faster than I expected. 🤔
I think it's Pre Pre Beta.
As said before, Not ready for Prime Time.

My experience in two important ways, which coincided with my toggling Beta on, downloading the agreement to read, clicking a link, fiddling around for maybe three days, then toggling off.
1. The app started reporting windows open, OR car unlocked. I looked and they weren't. All lock or valet options grayed out. Mileage @2000 miles short of actual. After toggling off, it's back to normal.
2. (Worse) (After toggling off)
I have 28,000 miles on the 53. Over time, the NVIDIA adaptations on MBUX have become pretty "conversational," and I have modified my Hi Mercedes vocabulary, and actually strayed quite a ways from the original "recommended" phrases on some areas. Including dialect. My Wife, too.
It seems that all that has been forgotten, or reset, or something. I am now using the original phrases, and having to really enunciate to get anywhere.
I've been on the road, 1,000 miles, and I finally figured it out (?) today, Using the simple phrases is working I think.
At this point, I recommend 'Avoid.'
Looking for feedback from people who have tried it. Maybe there's something wrong with my car.

It seems like another forum member mentioned, some MBUX versions will be more buggier than others.

I wonder other than MBUX 1.0 (NTG 6) and MBUX 2.0 (NTG 7.0), does increment versions like NTG 6 up 2 .xx something along those lines could had affected it too. So far I seen yours and forum member mikapen's GLE experiencing issues with the beta. So might be software conflicts with the GLE, not sure what though.

As for me, I asked a political question yesterday and it said I don't do politics. I also ask what was the MSRP of the 2023 GLC. It gave me the 2022 and said the 2023 pricing isn't available yet. Seems that data base is a little off the mark!!!
I have asked for things like where is a pharmacy near me and got a pretty good list.
But, It will also repeated itself. I pushed the Hey Mercedes button on the steering wheel and it shut up.

I jumped on the beta the day it came out. So far, no issues to report (really haven’t noticed any deviations from the standard assistant). I”ll post if anything changes.

signed up for the Chatbot and it's been great. Plus no functionality lost on basic vehicle operations. I like the feature where the response is emailed to the vehicle, then you can listen to the message at your leisure. Well done, Mercedes! I hope this beta develops into a more permanent feature for MBUX and look forward to future improvements.

signed up for the Chatbot and it's been great. Plus no functionality lost on basic vehicle operations.
