I've owned three GLE450, 20, 21 and my current 23. Last night shortly after arriving home I got a notification that my car was in a collision. I immediately ran outside and saw no damage to the car and the car nearest to the side of detection in the parking lot was ice cold. This is the first time this ever happened. Any idea what would cause this to go off?
I can't speak to your instance, but I got a feel for how sensitive the sensors are(!).

I guess the left bump could be hit by some small animal and the animal left.
Welcome to the club. I've had three false collision alarms. The first two occurred over a 3-day period while my car was being ceramic-coated, and the third in my garage when I was installing my winter wheels and tires. Other forum members have reported false alarms as well.
I don't know (just imo) I guess having it being too sensitive is better than not sensitive and missing an event although I still wish there was an option to adjust the sensitivity.

I don't know if I'd call those reported Hits as False Alarms.
They are Alerts, and it's up to the owner to investigate.
It doesn't take much of a hit to damage the side of a car.

I called the detailer when the first alert happened. He had just put the car on his lift, and responded with a photo. A text confirmed the same for the second alert. Obviously I was present for the third. There was no collision.
