2024 AMG 53 Seats

Hello
Does anyone know the difference between the basic leather seats and the exclusive nappa seats in the 2024 AMG 53 which cost additional $1500.Is it worth upgrading? Also if you’re going to spend $1500 why not spend additional 300 and get the Diamond stitched seats?
Thank You

From deeper in this forum, this is what I used to order mine. It has what you're looking for. (I don't know off the top of my head.)

The seats basically look the same from what i've seen. It appears that the dash and door panels will also be in MB Tex according to the dealer order guide.

You may have to sit in both seats and see if theres an actual difference. I believe the 2024 is the first time that they don't offer Mb Tex as the standard seat.

I don't know about 2024 offerings, but in 2021 we ordered the diamond stitch because it was significantly more comfortable than other offerings.
It's also a clearly higher grade of leather. Here's a picture of ours.

The $1500 gives Nappa Leather Dashboard where as the basic leather gives MB-Tex dashboard. I hate MB-Tex, because it feels cheap. An expensive car like this should include a Nappa dashboard as standard.

So there is no difference in seats just leather dash and doors?

From my understanding-

The nappa leather to exclusive nappa leather doesn't change the seats at all, which are already bueatuful smooth soft nappa leather. It changes the upper and lower dashboard and full door panels, replacing them from MB-Tex to Nappa leather.
The diamond stitch upograde changes the seats, but in my experience, the quality of leather and softness is essentially the same. But the pattern looks nice.

The last time we comparative seat testing, the exclusive Napa was significantly more comfortable than other Napa, and there was a big difference in leather quality.
Now, at 30,000 miles, the letter has softened and feels even more premium than before.
It was a $4995 option back then, and we're glad we spent it.
IDK what's changed to make the option so much cheaper.

You're comparing the diamond stitch to the non diamond stitch or the nappa seats to any exclusive nappa seats?

By the way the reason the prices are so much lower now is previously the base interior was MB-Tex seats with dynamica/microfiber middle, so nappa was $2,990 plus mandatory $350 U09, nappa was +$1,510 to $4,500, and diamond stitch was +250 to $4,800. Now, the nappa is standard offsetting the increased pase price, and bringing everything else down.

Thanks for explaining all the things comprising the price differential.

I'm comparing the 2021 Exclusive Napa Diamond Stitch option (which includes the Napa dash and all touch surfaces), to plain Napa. Big difference in seating feel. The stitching as well as the leather allows the seat to conform better, among other things.

Fair enough. I haven't sat in diamond stitch and non diamond stitch back to back, just thought that in the grand scheme of interior materials both were extremely soft and comfortable.

We did, and it cost us five grand!

Glad we did, although we miss the leather seats in our '20 450. Better for trips.
