Looks like you need to press an icon for more info on what additional detail is available at that location? P=parking? Phone number? Street View?
Google has been gathering business info for several years…maybe finally including it in maps. They own Waze & have their own traffic data base so traffic info is just waiting to improve map data even more. I get some traffic now but it’s minimal. i.e. fastest route!
It showed up for me when I started the car, in the driver's display. Right where I was, but no 'place details' about my house.
I opened up the center NAV and there it was as well, but it wasn't clickable on that display.
However when I went back to the driver's display and touched the touchpad on the left steering wheel spoke, and the icon disappeared.
Vehicles with first-generation MBUX will now get access to Place Details, provided by Google.
This feature – which is already available for second-generation MBUX – adds detailed information about more than 200 million businesses and other locations worldwide, including business hours, photos, ratings and reviews.
As this update is performed on the server, it is automatically available to customers.
I haven't have a trip yet so I didn't see that specific icon, but I do notice the search is switched from Here to Google, which provides a lot more details.
That is really good as I usually use Google to search for places instead of the MB Navigation because half the time MB navigation cannot find what I am looking for without manually typing in the address.

Well, I was caught in a wreck-induced traffic jam for about 15 minutes today, and it never showed up on NAV. (Although the Google icon shown above appeared from time to time, but this time I couldn't do anything about it.)
HERE, in my experience, would have shown up within a minute or two, but Google has been a lot slower.

When I click on the traffic section of the menu, it still shows it is provided by Here, so it seems like only the place details is replaced by Google.
I have a 2020 glc43 It was available for me for $550 on shop.mbusa when I went to finally buy it today its gone, just mercedes connect for 12 months. On the app it says purchase but the website loads and its just not there anymore.
