GLE pricing
I’m thinking of buying a GLE for my wife, but I’m not finding good sources for pricing. True car seems to suggest msrp, but Edmunds seems to indicate a few thousand off msrp. Someone else mentioned 7% off on this I’d like to know what a good discount would be. I’m in Oklahoma, but I’d be happy to buy somewhere else if it saved money. Any help or leads is appreciated

GLE invoice prices
GLE 450e invoice is $4000 less than MSRP for $87000 msrp range. The best deal I could get is $3500 off msrp and I am a repeat customer. Other dealers wanted msrp for new GLE 450e since they just came out (2024)

Your "out the door" price is a combination of multiple things. People tend to focus on "off msrp" discount but this number is hard to cross compare. Dealers make money from multiple streams such as margin over the invoice, financing/leasing kick backs, sold addons and their margin, trade in price. The more streams in play for the dealer, the more discount "off msrp" they are willing to entertain just to compensate in other areas. You can see complains everywhere - "I negotiated this price but could not take the delivery of the car because I came with my own financing". Another version of it, which I saw more than ones on the floor while shopping is "you take a loan through us and pay it off within 2-3 months to get this price".
I.e., if somebody gives you 3.5k off MSRP with 4k invoice, there is a chance that dealer utilizes other streams to even it out. If not, then it's a great deal as $500 + some doc fee is often not enough for a dealer to bother, assuming the cars sell. The GLEs do sell and 350s and 450e typically have higher discounts than 450s.
