2023 GLE450 steering/ brake noise
My ‘23 450 has around 20,000 km (12,500 miles) on it. I’ve noticed in the last month or so a very faint/ dull click or clunk when turning the steering wheel or braking at low speed eg. like turning into and slowing in a parking spot. I can feel this in the steering wheel as much as I can hear it. Either way it’s faint but noticeable. I’d say it’s not in the cabin but further down the driveline. I’ll be taking it to the dealer soon for winter tire install and will have it checked. Just worried they won’t be as sensitive to the noise and was wondering if anyone had any similar experiences and solutions.
thanks!

I have a 2021 GLE 350 with 38k miles, and experienced the exact same issue you described. Dealer ended up replacing the steering shaft / coupling under warranty, part # A167 460 12 01. Completely fixed the issue for me. I had also subscribed to Xentry Tips recently and the issue is described in bulletin LI46.10-P-077391. Hope this puts you on the right track!

For Xentry Tips, in the US go to the startekinfo.com website. You can create a profile and then subscribe to different services. A month subscription to Tips is around $60.
