Wire route for dash camera
Hello. I just bought a 2018 GLE 350 and I am wanting to install my dash camera. I don’t want to hardwire it but would rather use the USB port in the center console. Is there a good way to route the wire so it is hidden?

I haven't taken this car apart yet 😎, but I did extensive mods with previous vehicles. What I'd do is run the wire along the headliner...just push it in, then down along the front pillar, squeeze it beside the dash, run it under the dash, then when you get to the center of the dash you are going to have to remove the head unit and the center console and run it back there to the USB connection.
Now what I'd actually do is just bring the wire to the fuse box and tie it in there. Dash cam is not that important to go through all the trouble of running it to the USB port.

Maybe one day, they'll make it wireless and the dashcam can connect to the USB port like the way a wireless keyboard/mouse is attached to the home computer.
Or is there one currently available like that?
