Benz GLE 63 Winter Wheel Set Up

I am considering a set of Oz Superturismo Dakar's for my GLE63 with this set up: Dakars, mounted to Blizzak 275/40 R20.
Black gloss.

The total set up with be $3,000 approx. Anyone have other options or suggestions? I want the AMG 20" wheels but I imagine they will be $$$$$.

Bit wider than I'd like but I am having a hard time find wheels for the AMG variants breaks.

They look like this:

Great choice. I loved mine so much as my winter setup I made it my everyday setup.

The oem's are now my winter setup.

I also was concerned about running a 10" wheel as a winter, but it proved just fine. I run a 275/50/20 Blizzak dmv.

It sounds a little funny that SUV needs a separate set of winter wheels/tires.
But you have a GLE 63. does it come with summer performance tires?

Night and day difference between all season and true snows in the white stuff.

Kind of funny, but guy around the corner, same color GL, creamed a mailbox at bottom of hill last winter, just slid thru intersection first snow. As luck would have it, I stomped on brakes to test tires before I noticed incident. Full anti lock.

Sent people scrambling as they picked up pieces in the street. My GL stopped good 30' feet short of them and I lol'd.

Been running snows since 2005 on all my DD. Never doing it different.

Maybe it is my luck. Prior to the GLE, I had E350 4matic and Maserati SQ4. With good all season tires and 4 wheel drive. I haven't had any problem during the last 3 winter in Chicago.
Big improvement from the Porsche 911S and BMW 535i both rear wheel drive with summer performance tire.

Of course, the snow tires will be even better and ideal for the winter.

I always run dedicated winters. Vermont is just too messy with ice on snow on dirt. I have too many friends in range rovers thinking how their ultimate truck and conquer it all. Then I have to pick them up at the bottom of my hill becuase they can't make it up in their all seasons.

Chi Town you can pull it off. The mountains in snow and ice on dirt... Well better to be safe than sorry.

I have always used dedicated sets whether it was the MB or any other awd car I owned.

Just use your stock wheels as your winters and grab a set of 22s for your summers like a real AMG owner LOL

My wife's front wheel drive sedan with snow tires (Blizzak WS 80's) was FAR better in the snow than my ML 550 on all seasons last winter. I am getting a set of wheels and snow tires for the new GLE this fall for sure.
