that they have liked and would recommend ? I'm thinking of something more than just a basic Rain-X water repellent.
I am reading about some of these nano technology products but haven't ever used one and not sure if it is worth spending the time and money on, not that they are expensive.

I used this: www dot cquartz dot com/product/flyby30/
It's really effective. Not sure how long it lasts though as I used the car twice under the rain since the application.

If you search around this forum you will find all kinds of folks having all kinds of problems with juddering/skipping windshield wipers, even on brand new ones. MB fix is to scrub the windshield with Bon Ami, something I've known for 20+ years thanks to Motorweek. If your wipers are behaving properly I wouldn't tempt fate by putting anything on the glass.

Stumpie In fact it was Bon Ami, as mentioned above. they said that most shuddering is caused by a foreign agent on the glass...said drive thru car washes sometimes shoot wax or rainx, to be avoided.

I quiet using rain x, or anything like it, because it does eventually make the wipers chatter and skip as the swipe the windshield. Even if in added more rain x I couldn't get it to stop. The only solution I found was the replace the wipers and that got expensive and didn't always help. I've never tried the windshield cleaning/scrubbing stuff.
