My GLE350 has only 1000 miles but Service C light is on - what to do
Hey Folks,
Got a tricky ques regards whether or not I need to do the service C -
I didn't drive that much on my 17' GLE350 (traveled a lot for work) - he only has 1000 miles but it's exactly one year since I purchased the car. The service C light is on now, do you suggest to reset it or bring to dealer to really perform the service?
thanks
John

Well....
It can be reset - and each time it is reset - it moves to the next service.
If you want to reset yourself - this link instructions might get that done on your GLE - it's late and I am have fuzzy thinking..

Oil should be changed after a year, it still has additives break down and accumulates moisture and contaminants, especially if you don't drive the car much or make frequent short trips.
I'd suggest just getting the oil and filter changed, rather than paying full pop at the dealer for a "service" which is largely just an oil change.

Hi JohnBest,
When "TRIP' is highlighted use the "right side arrow," and tab over to "SERV." From there scroll down to "Assyst Plus", and you should be able to reset from there , if you are getting the warning message.

That's the way it works, are you sure you're on the basic odometer screen? Doors and hood closed? Position 1 on the ignition, not fully on?

You are pressing and holding the call and then also pressing and holding the OK within a second, and holding both until the menu pops up right?
