My new 2018 GLE 4MATiC has arrived at the dealer. They are now offering me an extended warranty. Im a little surprised by the cost. The vehicle comes with 4 year/50,000 mile. To extend 1 year and add 50,000 miles for a total of 5 year/100,000 is $3250.

My wife drives about 18,000 miles a year so extended warranty is definitely wanted.

Any suggestions?

Search this site, you can buy a warranty for a little over half of that. You don’t have to buy from your dealer, you can buy from any Mercedes Dealer. There are a couple on this site that have been selling them for years

FWIW - As part of the total contract on a 2018 GLE 4MATIC, I negotiated down to $2500 for 4 yr/40K extended (so 100K total). I think you can do a lot better than what you were offered.
