Look Up Availaiblity
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to self look up what dealers may have a particular model, color, and configuration? It seems there is more available nationally than dealers have led me to believe and I'd like to see if any dealers have specific configurations and possibly deal with them directly since I travel a lot.
Thanks

Best case is to find a salesperson who is willing to do a thorough search for you across a wide area. An email or online chat on a dealer website might work for this.
Another suggestion is to go to dealer websites in the target geographies. Search their inventory. Not an exhaustive solution, but better information than what you have now.
Another suggestion is to use cargurus.com. Some new vehicles are listed there. It will give you a flavor for what is available, and again not an exhaustive inventory.

Problem w/ MBUSA is that you can't find exactly what you are looking for at individual dealers that way. I had a salesman do it, and what he came back with was a lot less than I was finding on my time consuming own. Of course he was probably trying to push what he had.
As far as going to individual dealer websites in target geographies, yes that works but REALLY time consuming. Was hoping there was just a "system" where you could make your build and then see who has it. Oh well.

Based on either Polar-White/Luner-Blue - with either Black/Ginger-Beige MB-Tex - w/P2 & Pano Roof - there are about 55 across the US that show available from MSRP $67,630 out to MSRP $70,845.
So - based on where you live - that can narrow it down for you.
You don't sound convinced the 2019 GLE400 is the right fit - but if you want to get this narrowed down - post your location - and I will try to steer you in the right direction..
At the same time - if you don't already have a 2020 on order - as those launch and get shipped to dealers - they will sell so fast it will leave a trail of smoke..

Leigh, here is the search I posted in your other thread on the same topic. If you are willing to invest effort and time in the search, you are likely to come up with a good deal. Have you searched cargurus?

Thank you so much for taking the time. I'm having trouble going with a 2018 because of the drop in engine performance over the 2019. I test drove a 2019 and felt it was OK, but not what I'd expect for a $65K vehicle. I really wanted the W167, but can't wait and I am a bit hesitant on the 2019 because for the pricing it seems to lack a lot compared to the Q7, MDX, and especially the new X5. The new (2019) X5 I really like, but I am even more afraid to buy a first model year BMW than I am a Mercedes. I like to keep my cars 7 or 8 years. I might have to find a way to hold off another year or go with something else this time. Right now I'm debating picking up a 2018 X5 at a good deal then selling it in 2 years for a newer GLE450.

Premium 3 (Distronic) Panoramic Roof, 20" wheels, White, Obsidan, or Lunar Blue, black interior. At this point I'm thinking now of just getting an 18 X5 (which they are really discounting since the redesign 19 just hit the streets a few months ago) for a couple years then get a W167 after it's been out for a year or two. The W167 looks a lot nicer.

Good luck with the "new" X5 - after the 1st three weeks excitement on that model - BMW realized that really missed the boat with their "new model" - and frankly even with hefty discounts this 1st year is not really perking up sales...
Frankly - you have earned the right to drive the SUV that YOU enjoy most - there are always "new models" coming out next year - you want to have full enjoyment from Day#1 of ownership... so may your pick after test drive - and be happy !

Not all listed but try autotrader.com
Another tip on finding cars from MBUSA not at your local dealership and listed as "Available upon Request". Select "View Vehicle Details". At the end of the link is the VIN. Do search on the VIN and usually the dealer location is found. The MBUSA link with VIN at end looks like this:
mbusa.com/mercedes/inventory/dealerName-Mercedes_Benz_of_Arlington/dealerId-80201/bodystyle-SUV/class-GLE/model-GLE400W4/vin-4JGDA5GB0KB217991
The VIN from the above link from an MBUSA search for my local Arlington VA shows the GLE 400 is in Manhattan NY.
