Towing mirrors for GLE 350

Looking to tow a camper, what is the best choice for mirrors to see around the typical travel trailer. I'm really only seeing universal mirrors that make it hard to tell what's worth it and what's not.

I would appreciate hearing what those who tow use to know what works, what doesn't, and what doesn't damage the mirrors and turn signals.

I know the campers are in the 90" average width range.

Thanks!

Well I'm hoping that someone somewhere tows with a GLE 350.

I'm starting to wonder if the older ML's would have more history and information about what people use to see around larger campers and so on.

What I'm looking at towing is a 2019 Grey Wolf 23MK at close to 5,000 pounds.

Can anyone on the forum identify a worthwhile mirror option?

Look in hhe gl forums. Both x164 and 166 models. Those models have a larger percentage of people towing because the air suspension make it ride better.
At least that's been my experience when towing with my gl.

Thank you for the information! I'll be going with a load-distribution hitch that will reduce the hitch tongue weight to 200 pounds making the $400+ add-on worth it. My CPO 2016 came with most of what I really wanted, just not air suspension and better headlights (my AZN Optics HID kit will go in soon though!).

You should read up about hhe load distribution hitch. There are some gl owners who have used them. Some who say it's not necessary. Maybe because ofairmatic .

And some oho really like the short wheelbase of 'the ml/gle

While people generally don’t need the expense of a load distribution hitch if they’re not towing a heavy tongue weight trailer, in my situation the trailer would be over max hitch weight allowed without one- and only having 200 pounds on the hitch with one. I can have the camper I want without having airmatic suspension- double bonus!

Now I just need good trailer mirrors, so I’d be happy to hear about what anyone who’s used them has to say about what they bought.
