Hi everyone,

I was wondering how difficult it would be to replace the steering wheel emblem. Does anyone have a DIY?
The plastic Mercedes star uses some very cheap paint! I was using a microfiber towel to dust it and ended up marring 2 points on the star.

I tried using some Novus plastic polish which helped somewhat, but the chrome paint used on the star is very soft.

Not sure how well this will fit, does anyone have the OEM part?

From looking at other emblems on eBay, I believe the one you want is 49mm. This one is too big and designed for older vehicles. You can call the Parts Dept. of any MB dealer and they can look it up and give you the part no. Then, order it at the link below. It's probably glued on. Heat up the old emblem with a hair dryer. Then, slip some dental floss underneath and work it across the underside.
