Rear Windshield Wiper Randomly Operates
Hi guys,
I've had my 2018 GLE 43 for about a month, the rear windshield wiper seems to randomly swipe one time when I activate the front wipers for either one sweep or turning it to rain-sensing. This is really annoying because there's usually not enough rain that I need the rear wiper to be on. Also it leaves an annoying mark on the rear glass! Sometimes when there is a lot of water accumulated on the front and rear windshields, activating the front wiper will simultaneously operate the rear. I have the rear wipers in the off position. Is there a rain-sensor in the rear that might over-ride the off position?
Thanks!

It’s a courtesy wipe. VW has a similar feature. I’m not aware of a rain sensor on the rear.
I like the auto rear single wipe when reverse gear is selected and the main wipers are engaged.
