Winter Blades for Snow (2017 GLE 350)

Hi. I've been driving to Tahoe almost every weekend with my 2017 GLE 350 and the last month has made me realize I finally need to figure out proper winter blades. I'm wondering what folks are using for heavy snow and ice? Any recommendations for the 2017 GLE 350? Thanks!

I haven't bought winter wipers for my GLE yet but have used Anco winter wipers in the past on other vehicles with great success. According to the Anco fitment guide, the Extreme Weather blade part numbers Anco E-26M (left front side) and E-22-M (right front side) fit the W166 GLE.

Note that these will NOT work if you have the Magic Vision system on your GLE. To the best of my knowledge, wiper blades for vehicles with the Magic Vision system have to be purchased from Mercedes.

Thanks! I was on the Anco website and saw those winter wipers too. I tried to order them using the zip code finder for a local store and Winchester Parts in the Bay Area had no clue.

How do I know if I have the Magic Vision system with my GLE? That's first time I've heard of that.

I'm pretty sure I don't have magic vision:

https://www.arrowheadmb.com/blog/wha...ision-control/

"The Mercedes-Benz Magic Vision Control® system is available on select models, like the GLE. It helps keep your vehicle sparkling and clean without having to go through a car wash. It features wiper blades with laser-cut holes that produce a highly precise spray of washer fluid directly in front of the moving wipers. The system helps eliminate the brief, vision-blocking spray across the full windshield that happens with most vehicles. This technique also helps minimize overspray and runoff. In addition, since the washer fluid reservoir, lines and even the wiper blade are heated, it is very effective in cold weather"

One more question: Did you buy your Anco blades at a local store? Or did you buy them online? If online, where?

I don't remember where I bought mine - it was a long time ago. I am pretty sure Amazon carries them so that would be a good place to order. Trico also makes winter blades - Part #: 35-220 (Passenger) and Part #: 35-260 (Driver). The Trico products might be more available - their site shows Napa auto parts and O'reilly auto parts as vendors. Likely you'll have to order them.

If you have washer nozzles that spray liquid up onto the windshield, you don't have the Magic Vision.

Thanks! I couldn't find the Anco parts on Amazon but Trico looks like they have winter blades for driver side and passenger side. Same part numbers you mentioned too. I also ordered a new rear replacement. I'm hoping these work well, never had winter blades and this winter has been nuts in NorCal (!). Your help is appreciated. Hopefully this thread exists for others to find now as searching this forum didn't lead to results for me.

Update: I've driven to Tahoe multiple times with the Anco blades and I don't like them at all. They are worse than the blades the MB dealer has put on in the past and those blades aren't even winter blades. They are not good at moving snow (worse than MB default blades). And they squeak every time they run in rain.
