If the manual says it's okay and you don't get any knocking, then enjoy saving the money. If you're towing or driving aggressively, especially at low altitude, then you might want to use higher octane.

my pump info states E85 is 70% Ethanol.

I could run E85 in my 2014 ML350 and LOVED it... I could feel a smoother power when using it. The only downside was I'd burn through a tank of gas faster than an Escalade on a mountain road trip... Partly because I was constantly doing 0-60 and highway passing runs, and mostly because it's a lower mileage fuel. Unfortunately, my current 2016 GLE-400 cannot run it.
