I had a loaner GLE 350 and experienced the same issue, but only when trying to lock the car. It always worked unlocking and when starting the SUV.

not MB
while reading this thread, i asked my wife to check her MB connect app
she asked me "what does it mean when it says 'Boot open'" and showed me the icon
Got worried that the trunk was left open and went down to the garage... to find that the car was locked and secured
i unlocked and locked the car again and the boot open icon went away

Going to have to keep an eye on the app and see if this is a common occurrence or not

So my wife has been having problems unlocking her 350 - this is her 3rd ML so it's not user error, the car simply does not respond to the presence of the smart key in he bag about 50% of the time.
Saw it happen in the garage yesterday morning - suggested she shake her bag as someone here pointed out - it worked.
Happened again later in the day - this time shake-to-wake didn't work.
This looks like a regression - the old keys always worked (and were smaller too) - hope this is an easy fix for MB - annoying / safety issue

GLE 450 And some not MB cars
found a new issue.
when i drive on the free way two days ago, suddenly all the parking sensor start beeping and warning me gonna crush in something, after 5 seconds all back to normal. it was happened before when I'm driving in the heavy rain, i think maybe the rain caused it. but this time was a very sunny day, and other cars even close to me.

I experienced the same issue. In a heavy rainy day, the active blind assist, active lane change assist and parking senors were turned off suddenly. After restart of the engine, it went back normal.

I've had a couple times where the doors don't lock automatically when touching/pressing the "button" (pad?) on the handle after shutting the car down. The fob lock button worked to lock the car, though. The "locking when touching the pad" has worked all subsequent times.

Has anyone else had anything similar happen?
I feel like the wiper blades to "stick" a bit too much in the rain as well, but they haven't started to "chatter" yet. Was also thinking of getting some Rain X to help...

This happens once in a blue moon on my current vehicle, especially in winter when the roads are salted heavily and a crust forms over the area where those sensors are.

i noticed my wife having trouble unlocking the door by touching the door handle
so when i gave it a few tries, i figured out what she was doing wrong

the little square on the outside of the handle ONLY LOCKS
if you touch the inside of the handle, the door unlocks

see if you/your wife have been touching the outside when trying to walk up and unlock the door

Wipers are horrible. Chatter is bad. Cleaned them with soap and water. Used alcohol to wipe down and they were good for 20 minutes. I would like to know if Rain X helps I suspect it will not as my carwash has this as a final spray.. I had an Aquapel done on my 2015 and had to have it removed. Took the glass shop an hour to get it off. The best blades I have ever used are PIAA but finding them for this car has proven futile. The PIAA guides I have seen go up to 2004.

I emailed my salesperson to find out the wiper sizes. Still waiting to find out.

Also started a thread asking if anyone knows. Someone replied but not confirmed.

I tried RainX on my 2012 ML...the chatter was unbelievable ! I replaced the blades still chattered. Then I used 0000 steel wool and cleaned the glass and no chatter. My MB service tech said the RainX does something to the rubber in the blades and thus the problem.

I’ve had this happen to me probably 5 times in the 5-6 weeks since getting my GLE.

Talked with PIAA today regarding wiper blades. The most recent data they had was for a 2018. I ordered them from Amazon and will report back.

@mrmotoguzzi00 , Nav was not in use. Music was playing ok. The volume controls were just not functional. It has happened twice to me over the past month. It begins to work again mysteriously after about 10 - 20 seconds.

I did a 200 mile drive yesterday with rain most of the time - we had just picked up the car on Sat., and as you say, the "chatter" was really bad, although after almost 3 hours of driving with the wipers on most of the time, their was notable improvement (smoothness) in their operation. Will wipe them down and see how they perform next time before raising the issue with our dealer.

I’ve had mine almost a month now. Wipers were chattering like crazy early on. Now after being used they work perfectly. Perhaps the original rubber needed to wear and soften a bit with some use.

Other than that, no issues. Love it more each day.

So car would turn on, but not start. MBUX working. Multiple error messages - "Blind Spot Assist inoperative," "Parking brake," "Malfunction - see Owner's manual." Jump start did nothing. Disconnecting and reconnecting battery got it started again (when in doubt, reboot!). At the dealer now; will report back. Hopefully, just a software issue.
