Ordered AMG GLE 63 S Coupe
Just hit the 1000 mile mark!
I got an oil change on Friday and hit the 1000 mile mark today. That means I let it rip just once in S+. And that big boy moves quick. The exhaust not is amazingđź‘Ś

you don’t need to work in an amg engine. They are designed to be driven fast when you get the truck.*

Let it rip. Why did you get the oil change so early? I hope you were not told anything about removing the "break-in" oil and requiring a change.

Whats your take on this? We got ours with 13k miles on the clock and a CPO with prepaid maintenance. The guys at Mercedes told us to stick with factory recommended oil changes. I also have an Audi S7 and on Audizine pretty much all the guys are telling me that the one year 10k mile oil changes are awful for those engines and recommending to do it every 5k miles. I’m not sure really what to do.

IMO I believe the 10k mile oil change is appropriate. I also think it's a minimum and 12k is also not a bad duration unless you are racing. Not sure about Audi history but Mercedes has been doing the 10k/12k synthetic oil change recommendation since 1998 when the dual plug M113 engine was causing sludge in the engine using regular oil.
