GLE coupe 63 2018 facelift
Considered placing an order before I read facelift is coming in 2018(May or June, will ship as 2019 model).
Don't want to spend 150k EUR on a vehicle to be delivered in 4 months which will be an old model just a few months after delivery.
Any suggestions ?

Seems accurate. I had a 2016 AMG GTS with the 4.0 l and its nice but I think the 5.5 suits this car better. The only thing I'd want would be the new infotainment setup interior wise. Just placed an order for a 2018 today pre any facelift.

2018 GLE63S Coupe , 2012 Volvo XC60 R-Design, 2000 TRD PreRunner (heavily modded)
I recently had a 2016 C63S that just got turned in. I now have a 2018 GLE63S waiting for me at the dealer. I for one miss the controls that the GLE now has again and am excited about going back to it with the addition of the touch pad. I had a 12 W218 CLS550 before the C. I loved the fact I could dial numbers and store hot keys on the key pad. The C without the dial pad was cumbersome to dial out and jump quickly to radio presets.
I like the older style controls for one and I agree I don't think the 4.0 liter is going to be a great fit for this beast. As much of an animal of an engine the 4.0 is... there's something about that 5.5 that just does it for me.
I'm not being an early adopter again. Just my. 02
