AMG Factory Tour Affalterbach
Just got back from my private tour today and all I can say is Wow! I have a new respect for one man..one engine. I think I am a lifer now. I absolutely recommend anyone that has the opportunity to visit the AMG facility as well as the museum...definitely a once in a lifetime gig.

Unfortunately they are very strict about not taking pictures...but I did take a few outside where they had put up an American flag for me and my wife's arrival...was pretty cool. I am still in Europe for another 2 1/2 weeks so I'll post up the few pics later. Was cool seeing some camouflaged cars tooling around the parking lot.

That's a bucket-list tour for me. How much does it cost if you aren't purchasing a new AMG? Wifey wants to visit Italy sometime in 2018, so this would be a neat stop since we're on that side of the pond.
Love Brentwood, my in-laws live there so we're there 1-2 times a month.

Good news....it was free...bad news...they only let current amg owners in on the tour. If you have someone you know you could probly use their vin to possibly get by. I would highly recommend the museum as well. It is also a history lesson. Very well laid planned and layout. I can't say the same for the Porsche museum...was a little disappointed. Currently in Como, Italy headed back thru Munich and trying to plan a stop by BMW to hit all the spots. Visited Audi last year when I was here. Really easy to travel around Europe now...very similar to going between states in the U.S.

Yes...you are correct... it doesn't matter the year or how you purchased...just owning. Having the time of my life...my wife is from Europe so I have my multi-lingual tour guide running the show...but she's not much into cars. Wasn't really impressed by the one man...one engine. Needed to have a guy there to chat with...but no complaints...I feel the same on some of her plans also.
