7,000 for my fronts
That has not been my experience. I got ~7,000 miles out of my fronts (estimated as I had dedicated winter tires on from mid-Jan to Apr). The rears still had 6/32" thread depth, but as I had a screw in one of them I replaced all 4 at the same time. I didn't think that was particularly good, but the SA indicated that 5-6,000 for the fronts is about what he sees. My driving is mostly a mix of highway and stop/go city commute.
I think I was more surprised to have to replace rear brake pads at 10K miles...
