GLE Coupe Rollover - play it safe!!
hi guys. I’m a GLE Coupe fanatic! I have tried to learn every little detail about the vehicle. Here is a new thing I learned through other’s unfortunate event. Best way to learn I guess.
I slowed down the original video to see it much better and closely. He may already be on some kind of median or curb, but as he is cornering, maybe trying to drift, he hits something and rolls it over.
Rumours are he turned off the ESP, but I know turning off the ESP doesn’t really turn it off as I tried to drift this AWD beast in the rain. I later found out putting it in Dyno mode allows you to drift, but if you do that, the entire characteristics of the vehicle changes. Be VERY VERY careful driving a car in full Dyno mode. It’s scary.
Here is a video of the Rollover in SLO MO. Stay safe GLE Brethern.

Yikes! That is scary. I sure hope it handles better than that under comfort or sport mode. I can think of an emergency where you need to maneuvere aggressively with my kid in the back! This guy seems like an asshat though.
If anything I personally noticed that it corners really flat for an SUV so I’m not sure how he did that. Have not heard of dyno mode either but I just got the car last month. Nice post.

Personally I've always preferred cars for this very reason. I also prefer wagons over SUV's. In the early 1990's when the SUV craze started to take off I argued with people who still believe SUV's are safer family vehicles. I would say - why put your family in a vehicle prone to rollover- that's not safer.

Oh I completely agree. It’s basic physics really. A higher center of gravity will inherently be more unstable under maneuvering.

Saw this video the other day on facebook, I had a GLE C63s before the GLC-63s. It did feel tip-see even after I lowered it. The GLC-6c63s is so much better, I keep the *** end out all the time with out feeling worried at all. Very planted compared to its fat brother.
