Changed Rims and Tires
 

I just changed the stock tires and rims (22 inch) for 20 inch rims and all season tires. For my type of driving the all season tires feel better and better gas mileage. For super high speed driving I am sure the stock tires are better but for my everyday driving, going to mountain bike races, going up in the mountains, this is a better setup.

I took a chance and went with AR Motorwerkz. I wanted a rim and tire package that looked good and performed great. Also I didn't want any issues with traction control or rubbing. AR Motowerkz shipped the rims and tires mounted to my local auto shop. It was very simple and easy process. Note I don't have any relationship with AR Motorwerkz prior to this purchase. They did a great job so I am sharing my story.

I don't blame you...the ride must be SO much nicer,,,,I can barely stand my 21's let alone having to ride on 22's....

It's not as much the diameter, though weight still plays a part, as much as the sidewall hight. Coupe's (31" diameter) 22" sidewall still 1" taller than SUV's (29" diameter) 21", so ride still must be much more compliant in CPE vs. SUV. Depending on roads one finds self on, in my case I find 21" PZeros on ML63 quite comfortable. However, am moving to 19" (yes 19x10, I "made" them fit) for rain season.
