When I am not busy revealing people that are in witness protection programs, I spend time with my GLE Coupe and my family. Two things I thoroughly enjoy throughout the year.

I just came back from a 2,200 mile, 47+ hours in the car, family road trip from Texas to New Mexico and back. The trip was enjoyable, comfortable, and took advantage of everything the GLE Coupe has to offer. It was practically amazing compared to even similar trips with the Honda Odyssey. I have driven in Lincoln Navigators and Chevy Suburbans on such long trips with the family, and nothing came close to the driving experience here. Thanks to Gott for mein AMG.

One note, I had my All Season tires on since the temperatures ranged from 25F-39F on most days. No snow, no rain, so I didn't put on Winter Tires for this trip.

Second note about people wonder.. How does a family of 5 fit into a GLE Coupe for a 7 day trip with everything we have to take? No time for laundry, so we pack it all!

What’s in the trunk?

1. A 29” large suit case.
2. One 26” suitcase.
3. Medium travel bag for my 7 days worth of clothes including three jeans.
4. 5 down jackets for the -3C weather.
5. A Volvo traveling safety kit with all the safety essentials including a hand shovel.
6. A dirty clothes hamper box.
7. Another medium bag of light jackets for the kids.
8. A large fire extinguisher.
9. 80 8oz bottles of water
10. First Aid Kid
11. Battery Jump Starter (small but effective)
12. Huge bag of decorations
13. large Grocery Store paper bag full of toys.
14. Two litres of 0W-40
15. Air Compressor

Who says the trunk isn’t versatile. Yes. It’s full to the rim, but it’s just perfect. Our large warm down jackets fit fine on the shelf of the trunk. The kids with their LARGE pillows stuff them behind the headrests when they aren’t using them. We lug around a lot of stuff with us. I'm amazed.

The kids had their booster seats, but since they are old enough, I took off the backs and they had much more room in the second row and didn’t complain once about not having any space.

Here is a quick glimpse on about almost what the entire road was like. It's an AMG dream!!

We first Stopped in Lubbock, Texas, but I couldn't get any good shots with the AMG. Next Stop, ROSWELL, New Mexico.

Roswell has an alien spaceship with a McDonald's in it. Somehow three little aliens popped out of the AMG.

And here is my dream of attaching rockets to my AMG.

Onward to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Devil's Canyon. We did a little offroading here.

Two Inches made a big difference in where we were.

Then we went off to a Lake new Las Vegas, New Mexico. Great time and didn't get stuck in the soft dirt. We built a small campfire from matches in the Volvo Safety Kit. I actually have never created a camp fire, but it turned out well, especially at sunset.

One of our last stops was to White Sands National Monument. No offroading allowed here, but I did a little AWD drifting after the pavement ended one morning. The ESP will kick in after you are sliding and you turn the steering wheel to far, but swinging the car around a little got the kids crazy exciting. Thanks to all the Drift Courses I did. Don't think I wasn't tempted to turn off all the nanny controls!!

So the story here really is the GLE Coupe is an awesome family fun car. The kids continue to love the AMG brand thanks to this vehicle. They have never once been excited of being in all the other large vehicles we have been in, including the Navigator, Suburban, and Minivans throughout the years.

Last two days of mainly road travel, it got quite windy. I enabled the steering pilot and it made the drive much easier in 25MPH constant cross winds. Although it continues to try to take the off ramps and try to kill me, I do pay attention and push it to the other side, and I'm back on the right path.

Every other safety function the vehicle offers with the premium 3 package helps me, makes me feel more comfortable that it can reduce or prevent accidents in case of something crazy happening, because my family's life is at stake. I couldn't be more thankful for the technology in place.

I can never imagine myself driving any other vehicle, but an AMG.
