correct...every option also has an invoice and MSRP price just like the car itself.

If you really need all of those options, then yea. When I was looking for one, dealer was trying to push me similar thing with MSRP or over 50k, I was like "Next" lol. If you don't mind paying, and want all of those features then it's nice deal. But when you can skip a few options and save 3-4k, you can always used 3-4k else where. So deal is good, but now it's your preference that matters. Good luck.

One more thing...on white. There is a member Sean who complained about chips on white car within a few days, saying paint isn't really good. I got metallic. Just washed it myself, have not found a single ding or scratch after 350 miles. I read somewhere metallic paint is more durable.

Where did you read that? most of articles on mercedes paint tech points out ceramic particles in the laquare layers that give its paint's strength, non metallic or metallic.

chips will happen, its unavoidable, its more depend on how close you drive to the person in front of you, road conditions, and speed. At highway speed, paint has very little protection against chips.

swirls from washing are different story.

I read those too, and I think there was a discussion whether metallic colors have some other things done to it (besides making it metallic). There's gotta be a reason why one black cost 700 more than the other except for being shiny. I maybe wrong, but heard from several people that metallic colors costs more for a reason. Can be total BS.

I just think the paint quality is pretty good, and another member on this forum with white GLK thought it was pretty crappy. Again might be just matter of personal opinion. I took my car on several highway trips doing 80-90mph , no chips or scratches yet, maybe I just got lucky.

I have white and could not be more pleased!
I have close to 2000 miles and not a single mark anywhere on the car!
Chips will happan over time on all paints no matter what it is or colors!

China GLK Prices

Just picked up my new GLK 350 in Shanghai in March 2009, when it was first released to the Chinese market. Mine was the 10th one to be imported, so says the dealer. It's still a bit of a rarity here, and the three-point logo is quite well-regarded, so gets loads of stares on the street : ) China doesn't give you any options to select from, aside from the model number (i.e. 300 or 350) and colour. The dealer price (which was barely negotiable, aside from managing to include floormats) came out to about 780,000 Renminbi by the time we wrapped things up - equivalent to USD 114,000 - which is utterly frightening in it's own right. Re-sale value will no doubt recoup most of that, but I'd say those of you in the Canadian and American markets should be grateful that you can drive such a great car for so little outlay...

haha yea I know, China is crazy, just like Russia. GLK350 in Russia is also over $100k. Those import tarrifs and relatively low supply keep prices at unreal levels.

Yep, I read that in one of the M-B brochures the dealer gave me. It's not merely conjecture, it's a statement in official M-B product literature.

thanks for confirmation

to add, I washed/waxed car yesterday, and only two tiny (1mm) chips on the bumper after 2400 miles (lots of highway). Nothing yet on rockers or fenders (knock on wood).

Welcome aboard Poly! We got our GLK from Fremont MB. The internet sales manager that we worked with was very responsive and easy to work with. We used price quotes on edmunds.com and sent quote requests to all MB dealers in the Bay Area. After a couple e-mails and negotiations, this internet sales manager beats the lowest quote. We finally agreed at $2k below invoice and took delivery within 3 days from we sent out the quote requests. Hope this info helps

Much appreciated your info. Would you let me know the name/email/phone of the Fremont internet manager? May I mention you as a referral? I think you'll get some perks if I buy. PM me if you don't want to post personal info here.

2010 GLK350 4MATIC
Just purchased my Mars Red GLK yesterday. Here are the prices:

2010 GLK350 4MATIC Almond/Black MB-Tex $35,900
iPod kit $375
Premium package $3150
Destination and deliver $875
MSRP Total $40,300

They asked for $37,500. I said $37,000. Sold. I'm sure they would have gone down a little more, but it was dinner time and I was hungry (haha).

I guess everyone has their own choice on what is important and what they like. I agree with you I prefer a loaded vehicle, but each to his or her own...

Hi;
I live in Pickering (east side of Toronto) and I'm seriously considering the GLK350.
I saw your post about some of you guys on the board getting a discount from a specific dealership in the GTA.
Can you advise me of the dealer and the approx discount?
TIA,
vhawk

2010 GLK350 Metallic Steel Grey
Purchase price of the GLK

For those who live in the Southern NJ, Northern DE and Eastern PA area: I just took delivery of my 4Matic GLK350 last Friday and I got 9% off MSRP with PP1, Lighting Package, RES, Multimedia, iPod interface, Metallic Steel Grey and was ordered in July. The MSRP increased by ~$800. The dealership honored the original price in July as well as the lease deal.

If anybody out there thinks this is a good deal, pm me for the information of the dealership.
