2013 GLK 350 4MATIC
Worried about a few things.

Hello, I am new to the forum. Tomorrow I will be taking delivery of a 2013 GLK 4matic. I see on here there was or still is an issue with the transmission and transfer case whining and having to be replaced in vehicles with low miles. Does anyone know if this has been resolved? Also I read in the manual that depending on the driving style that the engine can consume up to .9qts of oil over a distance of 600 miles. I sure would hope I do not have to add almost a qt. of oil every 600 miles.

Very very slow
I haven't heard much about the transfer case replacement on the newer ones.
Transfer case replacements mostly were on 2010 models. Maybe the mileage on the newer ones were not high enough?

About the oil consumption, after 3 years, I haven't had to add any oil.

2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe; 2011 GLK 350 w/ Premium 1, Multimedia & Sport Appearance; I LOVE IT!
The reports of transfer case failures mentioned here mostly seem to have occurred well within the warranty period, so you should be OK.

My 2011 has not consumed any oil in 15K miles.

Thanks, Is the engine different on the 2013? I know the horsepower is higher at 302 and the fuel consumption is better. I just got spooked reading that in the manual. Additionally, is there anywhere to by oil for this besides the dealer. I can find the diesel mobile one online but I can't seem to find the formula m for the gas engines. Is there an alternative to mobile one formula m?

The M276 on your GLK is a Direct Injection engine, different from earlier models with M272 engines.
