Brabus GLK V8

Only turn off is the price tag.

In the crush of big debuts at the Geneva Motor Show last week, there were a few entrants that got lost in the frenzied shuffle (read: “we forgot”). Most notable among them was the Brabus Mercedes-Benz GLK V8 and its unbelievably monstrous engine. Seemingly defying the laws of physics, Brabus managed to outfit their custom GLK with a 6.1L Brabus-treated version of the S500’s V8 unit, boosting output to a whopping 462-horsepower and 453 lb-ft of torque. To feed the V8’s voracious appetite, Brabus also equipped the GLK with a bigger air intake and performance exhaust system. Now boasting a top speed of 172 mph, the beefier Brabus GLK makes the sprightly jump from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a mere 4.9 seconds, leaving the SUV-driving-soccer-mom stigma lifeless in the dust.

Lending the Brabus GLK V8 a look to match its personality, Brabus also fine-tuned the suspension, lowering the GLK by 30mm to create the ultimate road-hugging experience. In keeping with Brabus tradition, the GLK V8’s interior was also equipped with several trademark-Brabus features, including logo-embossed custom leather seats and an extensive rear-seat entertainment system. Currently available for purchase, the Brabus GLK V8 retails for €198,200 EUR, which, given the current rate of exchange, roughly converts to $689,397 USD.

Definitely agree there are better ways to spend $300k. I sometimes find that, as amazing as some Brabus models are, they are not worth the price. One may argue for the sake of rarity and uniqueness but for $300k, give me an S65 and I'll pocket the rest (or I can probably still pick up a mint Murcie).

I think G by brabus would be worth considering if you are into SUVs and not sports cars. It has enough torque to make earth rotate the other way.

Lol I don't like a single mod they did. The wheels are usually on the plus side for Brabus cars, but seem to fail here. The extra fogs always look cheesy to me and the extra bits on the outside look just that, glued on after the fact. Then the inside, whats with that awful attempt at carbon fiber trim, its probably real carbon fiber, but its way too big of a pattern, too busy. Guess I won't be buying one any time soon, then again I don't have 300k in the couch cushions either so I shouldn't complain.
