Watching DVD Movies
is it as easy as popping in the DVD into the CD slot and it plays on the Navi Screen?
Can someone please pop in a movie and take a pic of the screen? Thanks!! |

Can you continue to watch the dvd when you shift in D? I presume not, is there a bypass switch you can purchase?
yes, you can buy a VIM unit from midcity engineering.... not sure if it will work on GLK yet, but if the comand unit is the same as the c-class, then it should. Here is example. http://www.midcityengineering.com/Specials.htm |

I gotta get this VIM kit as well, the kids love watching TV on trips and this is perfect. You gotta be a fool to watch while driving anyway, I don't really see how this is any different than if you are looking at the Nav screen while driving...
|
You're supposed to glance at the nav for quick reference to make your trip more efficient.
Whereas a movie...could fixate you and the chance for things to get ugly would skyrocket...:smash: |
Don't be stupid.
.... and if you're ever in an accident, you will be screwed. All MB cars have a black box recorder of all functional data.... and it's not only for Benz's sold in California. Please read your owners manual. Get the kids their own rear seat entertainment system and play it safe. Don't be crazy.

wait we can watch DVD's in our cars?
