GLK350 Door open indicator
Is there an indicator on the dashboard if one of the doors is open? I am yet to figure out one, other than the interior light. I almost drove the vehicle with doors not fully closed any my little one on the back seat. Any help?

Yes, once you start moving the MDF will turn red and show that door is open. But you have to move at 5-10mph for it to go on, if you move slowly it won't come on.

I had to try it myself to explain to the wife that you have to be moving before it tells you that one or more doors are ajar.

You'll know your doors are open when you leave one or two of them in the garage after backing out. Not to mention that there IS NO Tailgate Open warning at all. There is no conceivable reason for waiting until 5mph to warn about open doors and/or tailgate. This simply cannot be an on-purpose Mercedes design. I could possibly see Yugo coming up with it, but never MB. No, not even Yugo would be so stupid.
This GLK is a complete POS. MB used to mean refinement, attention to detail, and German Engineering; none of which apply to the GLK that I can see. It runs, it starts, it goes from point A to B. But, that's about it - the Mercedes-Benz Elan is completely missing. It's just a basic car with poorly written software, sadly lacking "basic" features, and a Mercedes emblem smacked on the grill.
Before someone screeches in protest, most of these issues were corrected in later model years, so complaints were obviously widespread enough to make them fix them. I've had 3 Mercedes' in the past, and none of them had and of the GLK idiot design flaws. Several "wish I had's," but no "WTH were you (not) thinking?"
Just under three weeks, and I'm counting the days until I finally get the tags from the state so I can unload it on some poor sod.
For anyone considering a GLK, choose something else - anything else.
