This Truck Rocks!!!!
I have been driving a GLK350 for a week while my new E550 is in the shop. At first glance I did not care for the overall look of the exterior, and the interior is following that same for, lack of a better phrase, 'anti-elegant' look in all new MB's. But after a few days of driving I will say this truck surprised the heck out of me. It handles as well as most sedans if not better, I mean handles! I have taken sweeping turns that should have upset this truck and it just goes. I set out to find the limits, basically trying to get the tires to squeel and I find it hard to do (comfortably, not really used to pushing an SUV hard, my 550- well thats another story 
). The engine is also very well suited, it has ample pickup and is always ready to pass what you need to pass.
Let's just say I am very surprised. I still don't care much for the looks in/out (but that's just my tastes), but the truck has amazing dynamics. Great choice in a truck guys!

Yup it sure takes some time to warm up to.... my wife loves it though. However, no offense, but I'd take my ride over a Benz any day, including yours... they're just too "elegant" to take seriously.*

Keep us updated on the life of your GTR MBRed, I read an article recently by edmunds insideline saying they went about testing the GTR's durability and the maintenance costs seemed to get really high, costly car to maintain. I'd be interested to know if it was just theirs or if it's fairly common.

.... but so far it's been sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.... It's now in hibernation for the winter.
