GeorgeAMG's BRABUS GLK D4 from Italy!

Hi there, I'm Giorgio and I'm from Italy. I'm part of the staff of the Mercedes Benz Club italia and here is my GLK.
It is a 220 CDI sport MY 2010 ( i know that in america is not so common, but here in Italy petrol is very expensive and diesel can give an extra milleage for liter! ).
I have done the following mods
* black front grill
* removal of original badges, substitudeb by brabus original one
* brabus exhaust
* brabus monoblock VI replica by Mirņ wheels in 20x8,5 et 32 front 20x9,5 et 40 rear
* chiptuning from 170cv and 400 Nm of torque to 238cv and 560 Nm of torque
* brabus sport gear lever
* brabus doorpin
* full led conversion exterior and interior

coming soon brabus springs!

So here some pics and sorry for my english!

Buongiorno, come stai? That is my extent of Italian & your English is great. I am embarrassed by how few Americans know foreign language- so many of us struggle with English. Presently working on Spanish but it is oh so slow at my age.
Welcome to the forum. Your GLK looks great. The Brabus accessories are very expensive in the US. The exhaust looks great with the four tips. Is it much louder than stock?

Niiice ride, thanks for sharing!

@rascal for being a diesel engine, is much more louder. It gave me also 300 rpm extra, now the engine can rev to 5000 rpm. Brabus accessories are expensive in Italy too, Brabus motto is "if you ask for price, you cannot afford it"

I can't wait for brabus springs!!!

Hi There!

I also have a GLK 220 CDI 4-Matic Sport but in original kit. From Sweden but travel now and then to two small Places about 50-60 km from Venice called Piombino Dese and Castelfranco.
It is for business purposes.
Nice car you got. I guess it is quite different to drive from the original version with all that extra power and toque?

georgeAMG Jun 12, 2013 06:59 AM

Yeah, it's very different. When we had service on our w212 350cdi 4matic local dealer gave us a 320CDI GLK and mine is really faster. The great advantage is that in normal use I can reach great consumation, 5.2l/100 km. The different offset of the wheels make the car less understeering than stock and more stable at high speed turns. Now I wait for the Brabus spring, I think it will become greater in turns, my main problem is that I cannot find any roll bars for GLK, it seems they don't exist.

In the USA, the H & R sport springs are available. The springs will lower the car just over an inch which is enough for me. Cost is very reasonable for them too. www.tirerack.com offers them. I am installing the 2013 20" Appearance Pkg. wheels but I am disappointed that the wheels are only 8" in width, not 8.5" as in earlier years.

Im running the H&R springs and 9.5/10.5 wheels

Brabus springs give approximately the same lowering. Someone know if there are available any anti roll bar for GLK?

Congrats on the car, i love the exhaust tips and the gear!

I've just found out that GLK have the same anti roll bar of w204 4matic version. The rear sway bar is the same for all w204, also for c63. Anyone knows if there are available any anti sway bar for w204 4matic? Neither Eibach nor K&N have those bars...

Looks great! Too bad the Brabus in USA has ****ty service. Otherwise, I would have a similar car as you!

Giorgio,

Where did you get the LED conversion lights from? Do they cause any errors with the car? Also, the ones that I saw for inside made the car look too blue, do yours?

Best,
Charlie-
