Canadians - what size tires did your GLK250 come with?

There was a lot of discussion and perhaps some mis-information in this earlier thread:
https://mbworld.org/forums/glk-class...-use-same.html

I had a look at my 2014 GLK250 today. It is still on dealers lot. The tires on the car are Continental 235/70-19 M+S MO. (Conti4X4Contact, I believe)

This would indicate that they are not run flat or MOE (Mercedes version of partial run flat)

So basically, we have no spare and no run flats. Just a compressor and some sealant to recover from flat tires.

Is this the way all 2014s come? How about 2013 models?

My invoice said car came with all weather tires and I guess that was correct.

Thanks for input.

Interesting. I thought I had read that there were no run flats for glk in 20", but obviously that was wrong!

Ours has 235/45R20 Grandtreks, while I've never liked Dunflops I'll run them this winter then change to something decent... We also have the compressor but no sealant for the tires...

Canadian delivery November

So those would not be run flats. Any concern about running with no spare and no sealant?

My 2013 GLK-BT with the AMG package arrived with Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico 235/45/R20 (non-runflats). I couldn't find the sealant tank so I brought it to the dealer who finally found it after rummaging around for about 20 minutes. It was located in the trunk in a hidden compartment next to the left rear signal light.

I currently have Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV tires on 17 inch wheels for the winter.

Continental 235/70-19 M+S MO also here and I put on Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 SUV studded tires on 17 inch wheels for the winter.

The last flat tire i had (my wife ran over a bag of nails that fell from a truck) I needed two spares so the one we had was useless, other than that I've packed a spare in all my vehicles since 1976 and have never used them. So I guess I'm probably not going to stress over the fact that theres no sealant I've also had roadside assistance for a lot of years and never used it (but that doesn't take up space) hopefully will never need either...

Maybe I will take a closer look I saw the pump but didn't see the sealant will have to look again later... How do you like the Pirelli tire I'm most likely going to change mine after the winter?

I too have full size spares on my other cars, but they are all well beyond their best until date. "Experts" say they should be changed. But even those old spares are better than no spare at all. Like you, I have never used them. But I don't want to tempt fate!

If I get a full size spare, we will only have it in car for long trips, mainly to USA. And we would call Roadside Assistance to come change wheel. Some places are just not safe!

I used do a lot of boat trailering . On 3 occasions, I did have a trailer tire blow out and had to buy new tires. No amount of sealant would have helped! Luckily it was a tandem so I could limp to nearest service station. Something we can't do in GLK without run flats.

I originally believed my tires were run-flats but upon closer inspection, I learned that they were the regular tires which prompted me to visit the dealer when I couldn't find the sealant.

I'm not very keen on the 20 inch wheels for my GLK. I wanted the AMG packgage for the other options it included but would have preferred a higher profile tire on a smaller diameter wheel. I use my GLK to tow a boat and the low profile tires are horrible at my cottage on the back roads. They are also a pain in the city with the potential for curb rash and exposed sewer grates.

I think I'll eventually sell them and get something in 17 inch?

On the plus side, they do handle well in the twisties.
