I have done exhaustive research, and I think I know about all the weak spots for the GLK. I will just maintain it well and hope for the best. (What else can you do?)

One question - I came from a RWD car. In my car 4MATIC, I feel like the steering is more tight, almost like a touch of it fighting me (it wants to center itself) where my C250 wasn't like that. Is that just the front drive wheels affecting the steering feel, making it feel different than a traditional RWD car?


Not much experience at all with AWD vehicles. I also feel like the much larger 19 tires follow grooves in the road more than my old 17 luxury model tires, and that's to be expected.

Another thing....throughout all the forums (MB and others) you read that tire pressures are so important for AWD systems. Keeping tires rotated, same wear levels, same time, etc. And yet my door jamb says my front tires should be 35 cold, and rears are 41 cold. How does that make sense?

Hey man, I'm a GLK owner as well: 2015 GLK 350 4Matic. It's my wife's daily driver, and so far, so good. Our car was manufactured in May of 2015 (one of the last of the model), and we just passed the 10k mark (Service A, which I did myself), and no issues.

Just curious (Spyked) in your first post, you mentioned you've reached the issues with this car; What have you come across in your research? I've had a hard time finding definitive issues/recalls/consumer complaints about this car.

I do notice the car's transmission is a tad loud when shifting out of and into park, but that's the only thing i've noticed that i want to keep my eye on.

Another interesting thing i've noticed is that they changed the v6 in the 2015 year. There's a user named Froggy on youtube) who does a good job explaining the difference (basically, they use a balance shaft and a different method of direct injection). The only thing that the engine change has impacted on me (the consumer) is my oil filter cartridge is different than all of the GLK oil filter cartridges in the existing GLK oil change videos.

35-41 you read is for a maximum loaded vehicle, weight wise. Inside the gas cap cover I have a label showing 33-33 normal load, 35-41 Max load. I keep mine at 34 both front and rears, it rides much better and my Michelin only take 44 max pressure, Continentals take 51 max. But if you fill to 41 cold Then it could get to near 46- 48 when real hot out on the highway. thats a bit much for my liking, I've blown belts filling tires to near the max then driving hard. Tires hold more weight when filled up more, that 41 you read is for a fully loaded vehicle. Costco has free nitrogen in all locations, I emptied my tires and filled up last November , I'm still at the same pressure .
