only 1 outside auto-diming mirror

is all GLK 250 come with only driver side auto-diming ...?

my passenger side is just a regular mirror ..

Yes, the passenger isn't auto dimming. Kind of annoying, isn't it?

I just mentioned this in the other post too, but rear fogs work like that on all vehicle makes

My BMW 335d has rear fogs on both the driver's and passenger's side.

Not quirky. Some countries only allow the bright rear foglight to be on the driver's side of the vehicle (country specific) so the fog light is not confused with the brake lights. In the past (and probably still now) the bulbs were the same wattage as the brake lights so they were also the same brightness.

If you are using the rear foglight properly it means you are already in a limited visibility situation. Possible extra visual confusion is not desirable.

My '14 GLK250 has auto-dimming on both mirrors, I'm pretty sure? Will need to check next time I'm driving at night.

Passenger side rearwiew mirror doesn't dim because on most cars it's convex (hence the warning about "Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear". Dimming mirrors use liquid crystal polarizer techlology (like an LCD watch) and because of the curvature of the glass, the dimming wouldn't be uniform.

Rear fog light is also only on the drivers' side by design, because if both sides lit up it would be easy for a vehicle following it to confuse them with the brake lights. MBKLUE is right.
