mud flaps or not? clear bra?

Usually get mud flaps, front windows to tinted , and
3m clear bra on my car.

Anything different/better about MB paint that would make it more resistant to stones and stuff?

I hate to ruin the look of the car. Tempted to just tint the windows and leave off the flaps and 3m.

Anyone used the mud flaps in deep snow? do they help or hurt? or make any difference?

none
I have flaps up front only and clear bra. Both are great. I don't see too much snow buildup on the flaps. Sure there is some but not as much as on my minivan.

disappointed that MB doesn't include the mud guards on the GLK which most of SUVs come with it on base model? Maybe GLK doesn't need them?
But anyway, Where do you guys buy the mud flaps? Did you install them by your own?

I didn't expect these to be included. Wish the car that I bought had them, but I have had to put them on other vehicles.

The MB OEM guards are $200+, assuming you install them yourselves. I usually like using OEM for these types of things, but these are a little pricey.

Knockoffs seem to be in the $45-70 range.

Anyone seen both and can compare?

I have mud flaps on my GLK. In the snow, there is definitely less snow spraying onto the body with the mud flaps on. I recommend getting them if you have lots of rain or snow.

Has anyone installed the the mud flaps? I found there are two snap in clips and one bolt, it should not need to take the tire off.

I've posted a diy to install the mud flaps:

https://mbworld.org/forums/glk-class...tallation.html

The installation is much easier and faster with the tire off.

Installed the mud flaps with the tires installed. I just turned the front wheels for the install. The rear have room to work around it.

How are the non-OEM after having them a few years. Is the plastic pretty sturdy, non brittle.
