Two Questions: Garage Door Opener & DVD Nav Update

Hi,

I've had my GLK for about a week and still getting to know the car. I just did the scroll wheel fix a few hours ago and that finally works and now have a few questions.

2011 GLK 350 4matic

Q1 - I have the 3 buttons on the rear view mirror that is the garage door openers. I read the user manual and started pushing buttons, specifically held button 1 and 3 but noticed nothing happens with the LED. As many buttons as I push, I get nothing. So I guess my question is, was this an optional upgrade or did it come standard? I also note that there is a light orange light on at all times on the right side of the bottom of the rear view mirror but not on the left side. I think it's the book light. Pic is below

Q2 - I purchased an aftermarket COMAND navigation update off of the internet which means its totally legit (end sarcasm). The instructions mentioned putting the DVDs into the navigation control box which could be located in the trunk, under the seats, on the roof, etc. Is there a control box located somewhere in my GLK that I haven't seen yet or is it just the CD player in the dash?

Thanks in advance for your help. I will probably have more questions in the future!

you have to hold down the one and three button, that removes previous codes. then push the button to start the setting procedure.

put the dvds in the cd players.

Does the LED blink? The mercedes video I watched on how to do this has the LED blinking different colors. I held the 1 and 3 down for 20 seconds and no lights.

Thanks for your help!

its suppose to flash green once, indicating the previous codes are cleared. they select the button you want to set, hold that down until the led flashes orange.

red = no code set / malfunction
green = sending code to garage door
flashing green = all codes clear
orange flashing = unit is ready to pair
