New Rear Marker Light ? 2011
Old reliable is in-service to solve rear marker light-out message, along with new parking brake. Local dealer is pushing need for rear light component( cost>$750) because bulb outlet cannot be stabilized inside the fixture. I'm not familiar with the design of the light, but query(?) Can a new bracket be ordered to avoid replacing the whole rear light unit? I need support please.

Depending on where you are, MB made a lot of these, so you probably can source from a junk yard with a front end collision vehicle. Search on the WEB for wrecking yards. On this board there have been several complaints about melting tail light sockets.
Second possibility is to repair what you have with epoxy and fabric and a new socket.
