Brake rotor advice

Changing out all my pads with Akebono brake pads.
Rear rotors were changed to Brembo last year.
Planning to change the front rotors with the pad change....
Now the question, should I go with front Brembo rotors to match the rear, or should I go with Zimmerman which i hear is the best but will be missmatched, price is the same.
Cant decide!

FWIW I'd match the back. I'd be afraid of inconsistencies otherwise. My .02 cents.

Doesn't really matter for rotors. The pads are more important to match those.

A gaggle of MB's
You can check - I "think" the Brembo front for your GLK will be 09.9825.21 - shopping different sources for that Brembo - free shipping - or what the added shipping cost is - you are looking to compare "delivered cost" which will be like $190-$225 a pair depending on source.

I have "eyeballed" Brembo/Zimmerman/Bosch-Quiet-Cast - and frankly all three look identical -really.

match left and right. front versus rear rotors don't need to match. I am running Brembo front and Zimmerman rear. Same applies for pads.

Get Zimms and be done with it. Who cares about rotor matching. I would not care about pad matching either.

Not matching pads will change the designed front rear % balance of braking power. That’s a big experiment with your glk stopping power and safety.

Yep, that's a known trick on the track, but you can alter bias with pads only so much and rear pads do very little compared to front pads.
If you look at the conditions of many rotors, their bias is altered in way or another.

Got the Akebono brake pads in, 1000KM on them so far and rims are clean. Braking is good. Couldn't be happier. No more black rims 2 days after a wash.
