Mbrace has been discontinued
It is no longer in service as of 12/1/22. No more tracking if it’s stolen, or you are carjacked, no emergency services, no more finding your parked vehicle.
I heard Verizon has a service that can take over but I don’t know about it.
I put in an air tag to help if it’s stolen.

Yea, I got the mailed notice about the discontinuation for our 2014 GLK350. It's because of the 3G shutdown.
Using any sort of tag is a good backup ... I use Samsung SmartTags and a Tile for my keys cause I'm notorious for misplacing those.
What about "Mercedes me Connect/ adapter" ... that a workable option ?

I think it’s a plug in thingy that goes in the OBDII socket and then an app is downloaded to your phone. It’s from Verizon Telematics who was the system supplier for mBrace 2.
Sort of disappointing that MB has used 3 different incompatible systems while GM’s OnStar has remained constant throughout its lifetime. My daughter went from MB to Cadillac and has never looked back.

I will try that. Will any Verizon store have it? I have OnStar and it's the most reliable service there is from my 2009 Escalade hybrid to my 2015 Escalade platinum.
