2011 GLK Button replacement for window switch module- part # or where to buy

I have a 2011 GK350 the driver side window button broke and I’d like to replace just the button not the entire switch module. What’s the best source for the button or the best approach to this?

The video is useful but the O.P. is looking for a source for the part. The other thing is apparently the switch is bad as opposed to the plastic cover for the actual switch. In other words an electrical defect of the switch rather than a cosmetic defect of the plastic switch cover. But I could be wrong. Maybe he just means the snap-on cover. Hard to say with the info. supplied.

In any event, I would not be shocked if M-B is nice enough to only sell the entire window switch/mirror adjust assembly for $$$. So probably need ebay or junk yard and maybe the part number.

Replacement buttons are available elsewhere (for chump change, too!). I have used similar buttons to replace the lock/unlock buttons, and they work just like the originals (and look like them, too),

Here's an example of some that are available - just the first ones I found, not saying they're the best option, but this should get you looking in the right place(s)...

I admit I didn't mention a source for the part ... but I would go to the local MB dealer parts dept. The other option, for a part source, is to read the Description section of the video - he might have suggestions.

As far as my interpretation of the actual part wanted, I re-read this 3-4 times:
I’d like to replace ***just the button*** not the entire switch module.
So, that's why I went the "button only" route 👍

However, because I've been retired for over four years now, there is a probability my mind is mushy at times 🙂

The button for the drivers window snapped off, I ordered buttons only from the link shared. The window switch module is operational, the button is the problem.
MB wants $365 for the window switch module with the buttons, not sold separately. Labor to remove the door trim $200 +.
Buttons cost $60 for 4 can install myself.
Appreciate the video and link with buttons for W204.

Understood. I was interpreting the switch module as the whole assembly with all four window switches, mirror control etc.

It's interesting that the plastic switch covers/caps are even replaceable (although I'll bet M-B doesn't sell just the cover/cap). It's not like the icons are different for the different windows. Almost like they knew the covers would break or lose the coating with time ;-)

If you did need more than just the covers, I found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/196438684548

Wow, the button snapped off (?)
Good to know the fix will be quick and easy!

Surprisingly, the driver side buttons on our 2014 350 don't have much visible wear. But oddly, the A/C button on the center dash has flaked off a bit in the last 2 weeks. Why? Because our summers here in south-central Texas lasts about 10-11 months (74° today). Why we don't roll down the windows 👍

That low price boggles the mind... certainly makes it worth a try even if it only lasts a few years. And, only three tiny electrical contacts for all those functions?? Must be serial communications.

Or, do some of those holes on the bottom of the switch module also connect to some electrical pins in the door?

I ended up buying this switch from FCPEuro after going through several amazon ones. The quality is superb.
