When I'm in the German/Italian or Swiss Alps, Thule system chains are the only type I use. You'll find that at least half of those over there with low profile tires on huge wheels like yours also use Thule. They are no doubt the state of the art in snow chain design which will not harm your wheels as much as cheap chains do. They're easy to install as well and will not interfere with 4 wheel drive systems, steering and ABS systems etc. The down side is that this model is very expensive.

Here in the States I never had any need for tire chains... too warm, even when I ski out in the Rockies or up in Maine... a good set of skinny snow tires on smaller wheels are all I need.

Have fun in the snow!

By the way... if you do go to the Amazon link I provided, you will see ALL the models Thule makes... only two are for low profile tires though. The one negative review is most likely a user who failed to install them correctly. I loved them when I used them on my rented Audi.

This is where I have ordered:

http://www.rackattack.com/product-pa...-chain-247.asp

According to them, it should fit the 20 inch.

Those are nice but this model will scratch your 20" wheels up... a good idea would be to wrap some duct tape around the rods where they make contact with the wheel!

How fun in the snow!

Thanks, well, the XG-12 Pro is supposed to have the 'Total Alloy Wheels Projection", we'll see if it does what it claims!
