My deader called me said 350 will be delay with out a date yesterday, ask me if I want to place order for 450 or 550. I don't get it, if my 350 arrives later, don't they just have one extr car siting in the lot ?

Hopefully soon for you then. Just spoke with my California dealer, 350 delivery expected in 2 weeks. Car has been invoiced and awaiting a train/ transport. They have not been told of any delays.

Question for all of those experienced with orders MBs. Placed an order for a GLS450 in early March. Was given a PO# and a "Build Date" of 4/18.

So so when can I expect to take delivery of the vehicle? SA is saying late April/early May, but have been reading different things online in terms of time frame.

So those who have previously ordered a GLS450, what is considered build date and when should I expect the car? I'm in NJ area if it makes any difference...

Usually 2 weeks, maybe 3, post build. So I would say late April/early May sounds about right.

Hope production is quick. Mine was scheduled for 3/17, I received a VIN from dealer on 3/23. The dealer said it started production, however no eta yet. Hopefully soon, but will be here when it get's here. Meanwhile, still enjoying the 2004 Honda Pilot (how many have made a jump that far).

I have a GLS450 on order from Toronto, Canada. Build date is end of March and expected deliver is 1st or 2nd week of May. I tried to add the offroad package cou[plle of weeks back and the dealer said it was too late...

Final was between 110 and 111k, in office and don't have paperwork here just remember it is above 110.

Lancaster PA Mercedes did a great job on price, assume due to number of options vs asking for big discount on base model only. Curt was rep, I told ahead of time that didn't want to haggle and play game, so he gave his first offer and it was better than I was expecting. Very smooth and easy.

Can you tell me which Toronto dealership did you order it from? We placed an order back in Nov 2015 for a GLS350d and because of the whole VW fiasco, we've been waiting since. Then we wanted to switch to a gls450 and was told by our dealership that we would have to be on a wait list and it's going to take a least one a year for it - that was like 6 months ago. So our dealership has been holding onto our deposits for close to 18 months - with an indefinite wait. How on earth did you get a hold of a gls450, and delivery by May 2017?!?! Please do share.

At the time of order I went to MB Oakville, MB Downtown , MB Mississauga and MB Kitchener. They all advised of 4 to 6 month wait time. That was early January. Haven't heard about 1 year wait time. The dealers in Canada do cancel orders and refuse to deliver if they suspect the vehicle will be exported. If I were you I would Push your dealer and they should be able to get you a slot in next couple of months.

Cash deal? As far I know MB corporate stores are putting a 1 year wait list on cash deals for GLS. Either that or you put down a hefty deposit. We got our first GLS in Aug 2016. Our new one is already here just waiting at Concord right now. We'll be taking it in a couple of weeks. It should be around an 8 month wait otherwise.

I called MB Oakville last November and was told at least one year too! I was just at MB downtown in Feb this year and they put me on the wait list for a gls450 for possibly a wait of one year or more. I can't even place an order. I also called Barrie and they don't even know when they'll have any. Peterborough and Burlington have a few on hand but they only want to save them for those who live within 50 km in the area. Sounds like they've recently got allocations? Cuz 4-6 months sounds good. We'll be happy if we can get one for summer 2017.

What is a on-export deposit?
I assume you are a ligit local buyer without any intentions to export. PM me and I may be able to guide you in the right directions.

I think the dealers take a commonsense approach. One senior sales manager told me that when they see a 22 year old college grad buying a GLS, they want to understand why?

GLS is in Baltimore, now just waiting for whatever there before shipping to Lancaster.

For those interested, the Fleet discount for GLS has jumped from $500 to $1,000. Spoke with MBUSA and they indicated do not need a new sheet from them, that the approval they sent in Feb can simply be adjusted by the sales rep to reflect increase.
