Some options are considered "Special Order" items. If you order one or more of those, you will be charged the extra $250. Ask your dealer for more specifics.

Thanks. I read a little more and it appears the $250 is added if you order non "posted" items. For example, things that are not normally listed on the MB retail Web site.

We were about to custom order our GLS, but the sales manager found one with every option we wanted. Here it is, just arriving and still on the truck.

Raising up the GLS450! 
Some pics while raising height - the off-road package has a different layout for the Dynamic Select, with three settings for the height adjustment.
Was pretty helpful to have it at the first or second slot while managing local streets with piles of snow.
It stays at the set height unless you change the Dynamic select from Comfort to Sport etc. (will start lowering even while car is in motion), but if you rotate the dial slightly, it will stop lowering and stay put at the set height.

GLS450 in Brilliant Blue.
Outside of White, Silver, Black and some mix of these three, there were few choices available in colors (at least in the US), and the wife chose this one
