I must admit that at first I wasn't sure about including the $4,200 designo Espresso Brown leather with my GLS550 but after a few months I couldn't be more pleased. We've received many compliments on the interior, the stitching, the smell, and the soft feel of the leather. It makes the driving experience more enjoyable. If you are on the fence about adding a designo interior to your next build, go for it. You'll love it.

Overall, the GLS feels more refined than our previous 14 GL550. We really liked the GL and weren't sure we should trade up but the GLS is just a joy to drive. Well done MB.

The designo nappa leather makes the GLS feel much more like "the s class of SUV's". I'm thinking about ordering my GLC with either the designo black quilted or designo platinum white and black quilted. Only issue is, I'm not crazy about all black interiors and I can only order linden wood trim instead of burl walnut. And with the black and white one, I fear the white will be high maintenence and I can only order the black ash wood (would prefer linden with this) and I can only get a sport steering wheel. Both of which I don't want. If they did offer designo espresso, I'd get it in an instant. Uber classy and gorgeous.

I agree, designo leather does feel more S-class in the look and feel.

I paid SAR 24,000 (USD 6,400) to the Local Agent to include the designo platinum white in My GLS 500 order which suppose to arrive in Oct 2016. I hope it worth it.
