Offer on Gls450
I got an offer from a dealer on my first Mercedes buy of gls450. The MSRP price $82000 (including destination) and i was offered close to 9% off which comes to $74500 +taxes+registration+warranties+service.
Is this is a good deal.... Also I'm confused of taking lease or buying?
My banks offers about 2.2% for 80K and dealer offers leasing for 5k down and 35 months $965 for 10k?

I believe depending on inventory and timing you could push for 9-10k off. This is including a few factors.
Fleet incentives i.e. USAA
Friend of the house/repeat customer i.e hook up
Options
Market i.e. multiple dealers
I'm getting ready to place my 4th GL or GLS order and hoping for the same ball park payment at or slightly less than $900 w/ 12k a year 2k down.
If not it was nice while it lasted and a great SUV for us for many years. Will have to look elsewhere. Love the new Volvo SUV beautiful but I'm sure will be a major difference but come on not all bad.
Good luck.

Nice - I need to buy one this week and now I will shoot for 9-11% off MSRP.
Just curious why you did the special order? Did you get a better deal, or they just didn't have the options you wanted? Seems like the 450 is in short supply out here in California.

The reason i did customer order beacause, the dealer has limited qty of my like and i asked for black and balck and preferably leather. He had some, but it was missing here and there. As you said the dealers will have very limted qtys. I told them that i can wait until they got stock as my like and they accepted to do an customer with same discount. I also prefer leather seats over mbtex although mbtex has lot of good reviews.

Just purchased last weekend in Northern California. $6.5k below MSRP, or about $1k below NADA invoice, +$500 corporate fleet discount. PM me if you want the dealer.
Southern California quotes were not even close to being competitive. Best to buy at end of month if you can as dealers always need to qualify for incentives.
Very difficult to get exact config unless you place factory order. So I got stuck with "lighted star" and trailer hitch, basically $1k for things that are useless to me.

Just a heads up for folks interested in leasing, MB has a 42 month lease program available. RV for 10k miles per year is. 55% compared to 58% for November. This appears to be the optimal lease term given the current programming.

Dealer in North NJ didn't blink too hard while agreeing to 6.5% off MSRP on a custom order 550. We haven't executed on the offer yet. Don't want to out the dealer, but there are only a few in the North NJ area.

I didn't add 3-zone climate control, will that be a mistake? I didn't include active curve knowingly as my dealer suggested that possibly require only in parts of Europe and here in US its not required.

if getting built and not too late get it added. It gives you vents in the third row and also vents on the side for second row. I Have no basis to judge and did not find much on the forums. I think it will only benefit during hot weather.

i didn't add 3 zone climate control bc my kids are little and in my other car they keep playing with it with there feet and that drives me nuts. Its a good thing to have though esp if you live in a hot climate. Also I hear that the Active Curve is good to have,.

going through the other posts here in the GLS forum, it is quite clear that ACS is not really an option to skip.
We are specifically going for a custom build to put the Active Curve System into the build specs.
The order spec code is -
468 Active Curve System Package (includes SPC 214 ADS)

Same here. I asked for 10% off for a GLS550 order with ACS. Dealer countered with 7% off. Will wait.
It's central Jersey.

You will be just fine. Enjoy the GLS. Our family car was a ML350 and we moved up to GLS450. I always thought that the ride quality was good and a very comfortable truck for long road trips. The GLS in one week of ownership has proved to be far more comfortable. Ride quality with standard airmatic suspension is phenomenal...way better than the ML. second it's a family car and I'm sure ACS would be great for controlling Lean and body roll in corners but for the purpose the car serves I have yet to even think about it. For driving around town, hauling kids and road trips this car is perfect as is. the one option I think that's critical for such a big truck are the surround cameras that come with parking assist. Makes parking it a breeze. The other thing is the lighting package. The LED are bright! I don't understand why MB offers the crappy halogens as standard on their cars and trucks. Enjoy your new truck.
